At Sylvies Early Learning Centre, our mission is clear: to provide exceptional early childhood education and daycare services in Townsville. We envision a nurturing environment where every child feels loved, secure, and inspired to learn. We want Sylvies to be your child’s home away from home.

Safety and a nurturing environment
Every space is child-proofed for young explorers, and every team member is background checked and trained in child safety. Just as important is warmth: children who feel secure are free to be themselves.
Intellectual, social and emotional growth
Children learn best through play. Our programs build problem solving and creativity, help children name their feelings, and give them small-group time to practise sharing and teamwork.
A play-based learning framework
Our curriculum follows the Early Years Learning Framework. Rooms are set up to invite exploration, and programs adapt to each child’s interests and abilities.
Community culture
Families become part of our extended family. Regular events bring parents in, and you hear about your child’s day at pickup, from the educators who were there.

Qualifications and training
Every team member is trained in first aid and emergency response. Many hold early childhood education degrees, and all take part in ongoing workshops and training.
A safe learning environment
Routine safety audits and equipment checks keep every area ready for exploration. We keep communication open, and parents are encouraged to raise any concern.
Experienced educators
Our educators do far more than supervise. They get to know each child’s needs and interests, and build the trusting relationships that give children a secure base to explore from.
Parental engagement
We ask for your feedback regularly and use it to improve what we do, strengthening the link between home and the centre.
